Willow

Willow is a book for a kid who might sometimes feel like an outsider and wants to be brave. It is the story of a sensitive little girl who wears a feathered mask that she feels gives herself a bit of protection to live in this big, sometimes scary, world. Unable to save a helpless pigeon one school day, she finds herself on a magical and sometimes frustrating journey through a strange forest where she gains advice and insight from the various animals she meets.

 

Everyone wears a mask, and it’s time we feel safe enough to take it off and be accepted and loved for who we are, deep down inside.
